    Role Summary

    LoanAmerica is building a nationwide network of school partnerships to deliver private student loan products where they're needed most, vocational schools, career colleges, and community college programs facing funding gaps from new federal legislation. We need a relationship-driven sales professional who can walk into a financial aid director's office, understand their pain points, and position LoanAmerica as the solution. This is a high-impact, high-earning-potential role for someone who understands (or wants to learn) the education lending space.

    Responsibilities

    • Prospect and develop relationships with target schools from LoanAmerica's prioritized database of 40+ institutions
    • Schedule and conduct meetings with financial aid directors, enrollment VPs, and school leadership
    • Present LoanAmerica's private loan products, partnership terms, and school integration process
    • Negotiate preferred lender list placement and co-marketing agreements
    • Track pipeline activity, school engagement status, and deal progression in CRM
    • Monitor OBBBA implementation timeline and identify schools with urgent, time-sensitive funding gaps
    • Attend education industry conferences (NASFAA, state financial aid associations, career college events)
    • Coordinate with underwriting team on school-specific lending criteria and risk parameters
    • Develop school-specific pitch materials with support from AI Content Specialist
    • Provide market intelligence: competitor activity, school feedback, regulatory developments
    • Travel: Estimated 30-50%, primarily regional school visits with occasional national conferences

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 2–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience with demonstrated quota attainment
    • Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills
    • Comfortable with consultative selling, understanding a school's needs before pitching solutions
    • Self-motivated with ability to manage territory and pipeline independently
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

    Preferred

    • Experience in education, financial services, or student lending
    • Understanding of Title IV financial aid, FAFSA process, or school financial aid office operations
    • Existing relationships with vocational school or community college administrators
    • Experience at Sallie Mae, Navient, College Ave, Ascent, or similar lenders
    • Background in EdTech sales, textbook publishing, or education services

    Nice to Have

    • NASFAA conference attendance or membership
    • Knowledge of accreditation bodies (ACCSC, COE, ABHES, HLC)
    • Familiarity with OBBBA legislation and its impact on school funding
